I am a senior research consultant with a PhD in human rights and experience researching and writing human rights reports for international organisations. In addition to considerable experience conducting research in academic and professional capacities and lecturing on human rights topics, I have held senior communications roles in advocacy organisations and the private sector. I have particular expertise in forced displacement and refugees; organised crime, corruption and impunity; gang violence, gender-based violence and hate crime; sexual and reproductive rights; and equality and discrimination; as well as specialist knowledge of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Prior to moving into research, I gained over 15 years' experience in communications, campaigns and managing digital programmes. I have held senior roles in human rights and advocacy organisations including Amnesty International and International Alert, worked as an independent consultant in the private sector for several years and was a co-director of the Central America Woman's Network. I teach research on MA Refugee Protection and Forced Migration and lectured on international human rights law on MA Understanding & Securing Human Rights at the University of London.
